The Story

My name is Laci Bex, and I want to tell you about my journey through the education system, which ultimately led to the creation of Synchro AI.

I had lived in Oregon until my Sophomore year of High School and had attended a private school there since 6th grade. Then, during the first semester of my Junior year, I became an exchange student in South Korea, which was an amazing adventure and finished out the second half of the year by moving to Boerne and attending Boerne High School.  I knew there would probably be some difficulty in transferring my transcripts between the different schools, but I had no idea just how difficult the process of transferring my transcripts would be. It took weeks of back-and-forth communication, translating documents, and countless meetings with the administration to get my transcripts accepted. And even still, there was a lot more communication that needed to happen and many more meetings that would have to be set up before my transcripts were accepted in a more accurate way.

Throughout these experiences, I felt frustrated and confused as to how there wasn’t a better solution to transferring my credits smoothly. I realized that this problem wasn't unique to me; countless other students face similar issues when transferring between schools, whether they are moving between states, countries, or simply transitioning from high school to college. This thought led me to the decision to create my startup.

The mission of Synchro ED is to streamline the process of transferring credits and transcripts between educational institutions. We want to ensure that no student has to go through the same struggles I did, and that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in their new school, no matter where life takes them. Together, we can make the transition between schools easier and more efficient for students everywhere.
